Creativity Extended Learning Project

Task 2- Creativity and Originality

Originality- the ability to think independently and creatively

Imitation- the action of using someone or something as a model

Most people these days go for imitation, model-like and trying to fit in with
everyone else. And when there is originality, people judge on them because they're
trying to be different. I agree with this quote, because not everyone is the same, and what Herman Melville is trying to get at is that it's better to fail at creativity than to succeed in doing their best at being a model. And it is better to be different and creative than being the same as everyone else.

This is a media text, that imitates another media text, but also is creative. This quote is saying "No man was ever great by imitation" in other words "No mad was ever great by copying or being the same as any other man". This quote says a lot about imitation, and being different. The writer (Samuel Johnson) wants men to be different at what they do, and how they dress.

Task 3- 'Colourbleed'

Task 4- Inspiring Creativity

On the website, it's telling people that social media is killing your creativity. For example if you see that our friend got 105 likes on their photo, you're going to want that popularity, so you start copying what she is wearing, and maybe stealing a few style ideas. This is imitation, wanting to be like other people, and dressing like them. The ways to get your creativity back, is by 'Going outside' by just being by yourself, taking a walk. 'Act on your ideas' If you have an idea (whilst you're on this walk) act on it, (do it) to help yourself. The last one is by colouring, most people would spend half an hour/an hour on social media, but instead of doing that, get an adult colouring book, and enjoy.
